To start our journey, we are organizing postcard exchanges with interested parties. How this works is we reach out to an international city or organization with ties to Montgomery. They select an address we can have our community send postcards to, and we give them the address of our local partner (Southern Art and Makers Collective). Then citizens from each city mail postcards from their area to the other! Simple! Currently we have established a partnership with Swords Ireland (which is basically the Prattville of Dublin as we understand it).
If you are in Montgomery and would like to take part, it is very simple. All you need to do is lay hands on a postcard. Then you can either send it to our partner in Swords, Dublin, Ireland yourself (address below), or if you take it to Southern Art and Makers Collective, the Hilltop Howlers will address it for you, stick on an international stamp, and go drop it in the mail for you. Couldn't be easier!
We would also love it if expats and international travelers from Montgomery would send us postcards from wherever they find themselves! We want to be able to show just how wide an impact Montgomery has! They will be displayed as well!
Just mail it to this address! It will be put on display for anyone who wants to come see it!

Their hours are 12-5, Wednesday through Saturday.
On December 2nd of 1738 Richard Montgomery was born in Swords Ireland. He would become a soldier, and eventually a hero of the American Revolution. He is also the namesake of Montgomery Alabama. In light of that historic connection, we have organized a postcard swap between these two cities! Either take your postcard to Southern Art and Makers Collective, or drop it in the mail yourself to this address:
Brenda Hanley
Swords Castle, Main Street,
Swords, Co. Dublin,
K67 X439, Ireland
Maybe you aren't sure how? Maybe you want to take advantage of the Hilltop Howlers program to get them stamped, addressed, and mailed for you? The all you have to do is show up to Southern Art and Makers Collective. You can either bring a postcard, or they have some for sale there. The address is:
